11 Feb IMCAS Paris 2019 – Where expertise meets innovation
Last week I attended IMCAS in Paris, the world’s largest congress for aesthetic medicine. Over 11,000 participants, including mainly plastic surgeons, dermatologists and other aesthetic professionals from all over the world, attended this exciting congress.
IMCAS was once again an absolute highlight of the year for me too. In a session of the International Peeling Society, I presented the results and experiences on deep peeling together with my co-speakers. Dr. Peter Rullan from San Diego, Dr. Oliver Kreyden from Basel, Prof. Claudia Borelli from Tübingen, Dr. Sahar Ghannan from Kuwait, Dr. Marina Landau from Israel and Dr. Ullana Gout from London took part.
It is a great honor for me to hold the office of treasurer of the International Peeling Society and to be able to discuss further developments with these absolute world-class experts in the field of peelings. This exchange of experience has made it clear to me that the Muggenthaler Aesthetics treatment system is very far advanced. Both in terms of sophisticated technology and in the area of aftercare. At Muggenthaler Aesthetics, for example, it is possible to stay in the clinic for the entire initial healing period of approx. 8-9 days. You won’t find that anywhere else!
As always, there were also numerous innovations and new devices to discover at IMCAS. I would like to highlight the VENUS VELOCITY diode hair removal laser. This device is a must-have for every aesthetic medical practice and will soon also be in use at Muggenthaler Ästhetik.
I was also impressed by the EXOKINE system. In this process, blood is separated into its components and the plasma is then “incubated” under very special conditions. This obviously gives it considerable additional potential for skin rejuvenation and tissue stimulation. At Muggenthaler Ästhetik, we have been using blood plasma very successfully for regenerative and rejuvenating treatments for several years now. We assume that EXOKINE will make it possible to further optimize these treatments.
My conclusion:
The IMCAS offers a unique platform to exchange ideas among specialists and colleagues from all over the world and to follow the developments and innovations in aesthetic medicine. I’m already looking forward to next year.
