Fraxel CO2 laser

CO2 laser treatment is suitable for skin rejuvenation, skin renewal, skin smoothing and for the effective treatment of unwanted skin changes. During a laser treatment with our Fraxel laser, the skin is ablated in a punctiform manner using laser light, which stimulates skin renewal in a targeted manner.

Treatment procedure

Preparation

The skin should not be tanned for a laser treatment, which is why intensive sun protection is important beforehand. As a general rule, sunlight should be avoided. Pre-treatment of the facial skin through intensive skin cleansing and conditioning with vitamin A and retinol products supports the effect of laser treatment, as the activity of the skin cells is already stimulated. We will advise you in detail on this. In the case of herpes sensitivity, herpes prophylaxis must be carried out with appropriate tablets.

Laser treatment

As a rule, the facial areas to be treated are anesthetized locally, so the treatment is painless. The skin is treated specifically with the laser, and the special creams applied afterwards promote healing. After the treatment, the patients rest with us for a while.

Aftercare

For optimal healing, we give our patients various ointments that they can apply themselves at home according to a special skin care plan. A crust initially forms on the treated area, but this disappears again after four days. In the following 2-3 weeks the skin is still reddened, but this can be easily concealed.

Laser treatment consultation

Laser treatment is suitable for young to medium-aged skin with minor to moderate wrinkles that require very rapid healing.

Frequently asked questions about the CO2 laser

Who is suitable for FRAXEL CO2 laser treatment?

Laser treatment is particularly useful for a shallow wrinkle depth in limited areas of the face (e.g. lower eyelids or mouth). If wrinkles are more pronounced, it makes sense to consider peeling. Light skin types are well suited to CO2 laser treatment, while dark skin types have a greater risk of long-lasting pigment damage.

How often does the treatment need to be carried out?

After one time, you already have a good result. The laser treatment can also be repeated without any problems (after 6 months at the earliest).

Is the laser treatment painful?

No pain, at most a slight itch.

What other treatments can CO2 treatment be combined with?

Very good with a face lift or a superficial peeling of the entire face.

When will we see the results?

After approx. 3 to 4 weeks

How long do the results last?

Approx. 2 to 5 years

When can I wear make-up again after the laser treatment?

After approx. 6 days

Is laser treatment an alternative to cosmetic surgery?

No, surgery is used to reshape the face and remodel volume shifts, while lasering rejuvenates the skin.

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

Platelet concentrates, which are obtained from the patient’s own blood and applied to the freshly lasered areas of skin. This accelerates healing and further improves the result.
