Side effects
Temporary redness or swelling may occur immediately after the treatment. These usually subside completely after 24-48 hours.

Functionality

Fractionated radiofrequency induces a homogeneous energy field that penetrates deep into the subcutis, stimulating collagen synthesis and lasting tissue tightening. Clinically, fractional radiofrequency treatments result in skin tightening of 35-40% immediately after treatment, increasing to 70-75% after 3 months.

In contrast to fractional laser therapy, treatment with fractional radiofrequency produces less heat and therefore a much lower risk of redness, swelling and unwanted hyperpigmentation.

Treatment procedure

Before the treatment

A detailed consultation takes place before the treatment. Both the treatment zones and the desired treatment goal are determined together with you. An anesthetic cream is applied before the actual treatment.

Treatment

The skin is thoroughly cleansed and disinfected beforehand. The GENIUS handpiece is now used. Based on the principle of bipolar and monopolar radiofrequency, the thermal energy is directed into the dermis with over 49 microneedles. Coagulation leads to the formation of new collagen and elastin, improves scars, skin structure, wrinkles and sagging tissue anywhere on the body. The depth of penetration and the intensity can be individually adapted to the patient depending on the treatment objective and skin type. In our practice, we usually work with several low-dose treatments at intervals of approx. 4 weeks. In this way, we achieve visible skin rejuvenation while minimizing downtime.

Aftercare

After the treatment, we treat your skin with regenerating active ingredients from ZO® Skin Health and, if necessary, with a skin-soothing mask.

Peeling

With radiofrequency microneedling, we achieve long-lasting results with little downtime.

Frequently asked questions about RF microneedling

Who is radiofrequency treatment suitable for?

Radiofrequency is suitable for women and men who want to improve the appearance of their skin sustainably and minimally invasively and who want a younger and fresher appearance. The treatment is particularly suitable for tightening the cheek area and chin line and for smoothing wrinkles. Furthermore, scars (e.g. acne scars or surgical scars) can also be visibly improved or refined.

When are the results visible?

Depending on the intensity of the treatment, the effect is immediate. The skin-tightening effect gradually sets in over the following weeks.

Is radiofrequency treatment painful?

Depending on the intensity, there may be mild to moderate pain, which can be tolerated by applying an anesthetic cream.

What is the downtime?

Radiofrequency microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure. There may be slight redness and swelling immediately after the treatment, which will subside after 24-48 hours depending on the intensity of the treatment. After 1-2 days you will be fully socially acceptable again.

Can the treatment be combined with other methods?

Yes, radiofrequency can be combined very well with other anti-aging treatments such as ultrasound, TCA peels or PRP. The combination with surgical procedures before, during and after surgical interventions can also improve their results.
