11 Mar Facelift summit at the Secondary Optimizing Surgery Meeting at Bensberg Castle

The meeting began with an impressive presentation by top plastic surgeons from the USA, Turkey, Belgium, Italy and Germany. They carried out complex corrective operations following failed cosmetic surgery, including facelifts, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty and breast surgery. The performance of these accomplished surgeons in dealing with complex cases and the resulting outcomes was impressive.

The next day, the meeting offered an intensive discussion between the faculty and the participants. Tips and tricks for avoiding complications were exchanged and new techniques for achieving optimum results were discussed. I was particularly pleased to have the opportunity to meet two of my esteemed teachers again, Dr. Mario Pelle Ceravolo from Rome and Dr. Giovanni Botti from Salo on Lake Garda. I have known both of them for over 30 years and have had the privilege of benefiting from their immense wealth of experience in facelift surgery during several internships. You are one of the top five facelift surgeons in the world and your expertise and innovative approaches have inspired not only me, but many other facial surgeons worldwide.

In aesthetic plastic surgery, it is particularly important to keep up to date and learn from the best in the industry. The Secondary Optimizing Surgery Meeting was one such opportunity and I am grateful to have been able to attend.

Ultimately, such meetings not only offer the opportunity to learn about the latest techniques and trends, but also a chance to exchange ideas with colleagues and make new friends. The atmosphere at Schloss Bensberg provided the perfect setting for this event and helped to make the weekend an unforgettable experience.

I am already looking forward to future events and to continuing to expand my specialist knowledge and passing it on to colleagues.
