Phenol peeling workshop at Face Cologne – expertise in an exclusive setting

Phenol Peeling

As part of this year’s Face Cologne, I had the special pleasure of leading a specialist workshop on phenol peeling – and in a very unusual location: the stylish wineBank Cologne. The elegant ambience provided the perfect setting for an intensive and practice-orientated exchange between colleagues from the fields of facial surgery and dermatology.

The workshop was dedicated to a topic that is both fascinating and challenging: chemical peeling with phenol. The aim was to combine in-depth knowledge with practical insights and to create space for collegial dialogue.

The topics covered included:

The basics of chemical peels and the specific indications for the use of phenol peels, for sun-damaged skin, wrinkles, actinic keratosis and precancerous lesions.

The historical development of phenol peeling – from its beginnings to today’s proven application techniques.

Possibilities of combining it with other procedures, such as laser treatments or surgical interventions, to achieve even better results.

How to perform the procedure safely – with a particular focus on anaesthetic procedures, monitoring and patient-specific risk factors.

Proven pre- and post-procedure protocols to optimise healing and achieve the best possible aesthetic results.

Comprehensive strategies for the prevention and management of complications – an essential component for safe use in practice.

And last but not least: an insight into legal aspects and billing recommendations relevant to practice organisation and economic implementation of the procedure.

The great interest and enthusiastic participation of our colleagues made this workshop a real highlight. The professional exchange was not only intensive, but also inspiring – just as we would like it to be as a medical community.

I would like to thank all participants for their trust and openness as well as the Face Cologne team for the excellent organisation.

I am already looking forward to future events and to passing on medical knowledge and developing it further together.
