14 Nov My Commitment to the German Society for Aesthetic Surgery (GÄCD)

By deciding to pass on my board position, I want to give younger colleagues room for new ideas. At the same time, I remain closely connected to the society and will continue to support it actively in the future. The close and trusting collaboration with the board continues to bring me great joy and is truly a matter of the heart for me.

I was especially pleased that my many years of commitment to the society are appreciated even beyond my board activities. During this year’s general assembly, I was honored to receive a certificate of recognition – a gesture that deeply moved me and motivates me to continue contributing to the society with undiminished passion.

What is especially important to me is the promotion of collegial and interdisciplinary collaboration. Only through open exchange and joint commitment can we continue to advance aesthetic medicine and continuously enhance the quality of our work.

We already have many exciting projects planned for the coming year and are currently deeply involved in the preparations. I am particularly looking forward to our annual congress in November, which will once again be a highlight for both professional and personal exchange.

With Prof. Dr. Peter Arne Gerber who has once again been confirmed as President of the GÄCD, his dedicated and professionally outstanding work continues to shape the development of the society in a significant way – and I am pleased to have won him over for our shared mission back then.

Together with the current board of the GÄCD – our collaboration will continue to be close and collegial in the future.

My heartfelt thanks go to the current board for their trust and excellent collaboration. It is wonderful to see the energy, expertise, and enthusiasm with which our joint work is being continued – and I am pleased to remain an active part of it.
